Data sources
DelayPilot prefers a primary source over a summary of one, and records when each source was last checked. Where a source has not been connected, this page says so rather than leaving the impression that it has.
What is connected today
No licensed flight-data provider is connected in this deployment. Live flight status is therefore unavailable, the lookup returns the unavailable state, and the demonstration itinerary is the only itinerary with data behind it.
Providers named here are candidates
Commercial flight-data providers are listed as candidates that have been evaluated. Naming one is not an endorsement, a partnership, or an agreement, and none of them has approved, reviewed, or sponsored anything on this site.

What the six labels mean
Every value carries one of six labels and its age. The labels are the same everywhere and they are never softened.
- Live
A licensed provider answered, and the answer is inside the freshness threshold for that source.
- Cached
A provider answer we already had, still inside the cache window the license permits. Older than live, and labeled as such.
- Stale
Past the normal freshness threshold. Still shown, because out-of-date context beats no context — but shown as stale, and never as confirmation.
- Demo
Fixture data from the demonstration itinerary. It is not a real flight, and every demo panel says so.
- Unavailable
No trustworthy answer exists. The value stays unknown, the screen names the fact that is missing, and nothing is filled in to cover the gap.
- Heuristic risk band
A qualitative band, not a probability. No calibrated model is deployed, so DelayPilot shows a band and the factors behind it, and no percentage anywhere.
How a regulatory source is handled
A regulator page is opened, confirmed current, and recorded with the date it was last verified before any rule that depends on it is published. A change in the law is never auto-published from a diff, and a news summary never outranks the regulator.
